What to Expect

Alpha Youth is a series of interactive sessions designed to start an open and honest conversation around some of the big questions of life. Topics at Alpha Youth include: Who is Jesus, why did he die, how do I read the Bible, how do I pray, how is the Holy Spirit, and does God heal today? Alpha Youth runs all across the UK, in schools, homes, youth ministries, prisons, and online. No two Alpha Youths will look exactly the same but they typically have the same three main elements; eat food / play a game, watch a talk, and discuss.

Finally, it is all free and, if you decide it’s not for you, drop out at any time.

A Typical Evening at Alpha

Welcome & Dinner | 6.30 – 7PM
Enjoy a drink when you arrive and join your group of new friends for a casual, catered dinner.

Watch | 7.00 – 7.30PM

Each Alpha session has a short 25-minute film. These films inspire questions about big issues of faith, unpacking the basics of Christianity. Questions addressed include: Who is Jesus? How can we have faith?

Discuss | 7.30 – 8PM
The best part of Alpha is the group time, where your host will lead a conversation in your group. You can share your thoughts and experiences of life and faith, especially about the film we’ve just watched. There is no pressure to share and you can say whatever you like – it’s up to you. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

REQUEST PRAYER
Your prayer will be passed onto our prayer team who will pray for you. You do not have to leave any personal details about yourself unless you would like us to contact us directly.

There are many reasons why we might want to pray – because we are searching for the right relationship, because we long for true communication, because we are searching for meaning, because our heart is overflowing, because we are at our limits, or because we feel compassion.

Back To Church Season

A personal invitation to take stock, refresh your mind and renew your faith. Join us on 21st September for our “back to Church” service or any of our other services during the season, such as Harvest Festival, the Festival of Remembrance to remember our loved ones who have passed, Remembrance Sunday for those who gave their lives for peace and of course, Advent and Christmas celebrations. We would love to see you whether you are new, haven’t been for a while or have had a wedding, funeral or baptism with us.
