MIssion Support
We have a long-standing link with St. John’s mission Gwelutshena, Zimbabwe, which ministers to 20 Christian Communities scattered over an area the size of Wales. The people are poor subsistence farmers with incomes of just a few pence a month.
The Mission Support Group supports the communities’ needs as they arise through prayer, donations of clothes and funding. For more information on this mission work speak with Gerry Hunter on 01932 765949.

History
St Andrew’s has been around for rather a long time, although the parish register only dates from 1734, though we can be sure that there was a church here in Saxon times (1112).
It sits on the highest point in the village and is really quite a sight – especially if you approach it from the River Thames side. We do know that it was dedicated as a church in 1215 when the Bishop of Lincoln came down to the Magna Carta.
It is hard to imagine what it would have been like 800 years ago, but you can be sure that it would have been very different!!
Come to the church and see for yourself, and take a moment to breathe in the history of Christian worship in this place.
Then come along and experience worship in this lively, friendly Anglican Church family in the centre of Wraysbury village. We’d love to welcome you.

House Groups
Christianity is an adventure in faith, but it’s not one we’re meant to take alone. Our Housegroups meet at various times throughout the week.
These small groups, typically six to twelve people, usually meet in people’s homes for Bible study, prayer and friendship. They are all slightly different and are a great way to get to know people well and to support each other in our journey of faith and through life’s difficuly journey.
If you’d like to know more please look at the outline of each group or contact Beryl Walters via email Beryl.Walters@CHWChurches.org or on 01784 482092.

Wraysbury and Horton Villages
Wraysbury and Horton Villages
Our Churches are friendly, sociable and welcoming, reflecting the similarities and the differences in our two
villages. Although close to the urban areas of Slough, Heathrow and Staines they are surprisingly still country villages, surrounded by fields, reservoirs and lakes.
Every six months a magazine is published and delivered to every home in the two villages: each edition has information about what as happened in the last six months and what is planned for the future as well as spotlighting a number of local residents past and present.
